# Freddy #17 Freddy attempts to prank a hard-of-hearing man by loudly discussing a "wonderful book," but the man believes Freddy is fighting with someone and calls the police, resulting in both being arrested for disturbing the peace. After their release, Freddy recalls a button that controls a mechanical robot and attempts to use it to scare the man by operating the robot with a remote control device. When the robot malfunctions, causing a whirring sound, the man mistakes it for a mechanical device cutting grass and orders Freddy to stop it. Finally, Freddy tries to serve the man a glass of water as part of his scheme, but accidentally spills it on the man's important papers, infuriating him and ending Freddy's pranking attempts.

Freddy and Tiny try to help their pal Stuff control his unruly hair, which keeps falling in his face no matter what they attempt—from hair cream to hats to a hair net. When the three take a shortcut home through a rough neighborhood, Stuff's stubborn mop becomes an unexpected weapon against a would-be robber, earning him an unlikely moment of heroism at the police station.

When Freddy learns that his loud neighbor Mr. Tantrum has been complaining about the noise, he hatches a scheme to teach the grump a lesson—by giving him a book on relaxation and quiet. Margie AlbrightVern Albright

When Vern Albright agrees to watch Mrs. Potts's guard dog Nemo while she's away, he's skeptical of the timid-looking animal—until he decides to test the pooch's mettle by disguising himself as a burglar. Vern gets a rowdy lesson in never judging a watch dog by its nervous appearance in this quick 1959 romp from *My Little Margie*.

Mower Fun
5 pp · Humor, Domestic

Freddy's neighbor Mr. Tantrum finally forces him to mow the lawn, but when an inventor arrives with a remote-control power mower to demonstrate, the untamed machine has other ideas—chomping through garden hoses, carrot patches, and hedges in a wild zigzag before an unexpected encounter with the neighborhood dog changes everything. What starts as a labor dispute becomes a comedic showcase of mechanical chaos, with Freddy scrambling to control the runaway contraption while Mr. Tantrum watches the mayhem unfold.

Door Spring
2 pp · Humor, Domestic
Margie AlbrightVern Albright

When the screen door spring breaks at an inopportune moment, Margie Albright has to get creative to keep the flies out while her father Vern tends to business—leading to an unexpected discovery about what she's pressed into service as a makeshift fix. It's a quick domestic comedy with the kind of practical problem-solving (and mild chaos) that made the Albrights' household a constant source of laughs in 1959.

The Big Act
5 pp · Humor, Teen
Jack SnippetSuperintendent McHazy

Freddy Finch wants the job of Student Activities Chairman, but Superintendent McHazy is leaning toward rival Jack Snippet—so Freddy hatches a scheme to impersonate Snippet and ruin his reputation with the Superintendent.
