The fifth and final issue of this Hellboy spinoff series brings Mignola's underground odyssey to a close, and the cover art — penciled and inked by Mignola himself — is a striking send-off. Frankenstein's creature, pale and bolt-necked, stands defiantly amid a mound of skulls and scattered flames, while an enormous, shadowy horned entity looms behind him, a glowing tentacle coiling between them. Ben Stenbeck and colorist Dave Stewart round out the creative team on this 2015 Dark Horse series that takes Mary Shelley's monster deep into a world of ancient, unsettling darkness.
