This anthology issue contains two aviation-themed war stories. "Jungle Drop" follows Major Frank Palmer, a conceited officer with a distinguished flying record, as he is assigned to train new recruits at Fort Simpson. When General Bigelow recruits him for a secret jungle warfare mission involving parachute drops, Palmer discovers he must work with Sergeant Bill Henze to gather intelligence on downed aviators in the jungle. The second story depicts fighter and bomber operations on July 4th, 1943, as Allied aircraft conduct coordinated attacks on German installations, with fighter control centers directing interceptor squadrons to defend against incoming bomber formations while ground forces prepare for the dangerous day ahead.
