Flash #72

Flash #72 brings the "Gold Rush!" arc to a fever pitch with a cover that makes an immediate impression — a massive, dripping molten figure dominates the frame, its gleaming golden form crackling with bursts of intense light as it looms menacingly forward. Tiny but defiant in the upper left corner, the scarlet-clad Flash stands his ground against this overwhelming, oozing threat. Cover pencils by Greg LaRocque and inks by Roy Richardson give the creature a visceral, almost tactile weight that makes this January 1993 issue genuinely hard to put down unread.
