“Gorilla Warfare, Conclusion: Quite a Head on His Shoulders”

The "Gorilla Warfare" arc reaches its conclusion in this November 1992 issue, and Greg LaRocque and Roy Richardson's cover makes a strong case for why the story earned its title — Flash and Green Lantern charge forward clutching alien weaponry while an overwhelming horde of snarling gorillas surges behind them, with a white wolf-like creature lurking at the bottom edge for good measure. It's a wonderfully chaotic image that captures two of DC's finest heroes looking genuinely outnumbered and outgunned. Mark Waid and Gerard Jones close out the story inside, making this a satisfying finish to one of 1992's most entertainingly wild Flash storylines.
