# First Kiss #27 (1962) — Synopsis This issue is an anthology containing at least two stories. The lead story, "No Dates, No Kisses!," follows a man who, after a tragic accident left his uncle unable to walk, has devoted himself entirely to his uncle's care and refuses to date or pursue romance, fearing his "traitorous heart" might beat too wildly. When a young woman tries to win his affection, he struggles with his self-imposed restrictions. The second story, "Mild Mannered Man," centers on Alice Dimock, whose father considers her suitor John Donaldson too gentle and lacking the dynamic drive necessary in a man; during a fishing trip on a chartered boat called the Queen II, the group encounters mechanical troubles and John must rise to the occasion, proving his worth to her skeptical father.
