Firestorm #4
The Nuclear Man faces a genuinely menacing threat in this September 1978 issue, as the cover — penciled and inked by Al Milgrom — shows Firestorm hurtling through a city rooftop battle against the Hyena, a snarling, hulking beast-creature who looms overhead declaring that the heroes' deaths will be his last laugh. Police officers open fire in the background while a bystander looks on in alarm, all of it crackling with kinetic energy and urgency. Gerry Conway's "When Laughs the Hyena!" promises a wild confrontation between Firestorm's atomic powers and one of the DC universe's more ferocious villains.
