This issue contains two stories. "The Happy Orphan's Last Mission" follows a pilot who, after witnessing armored trucks and command cars typical of Nazi troops during the invasion, volunteers to strafe enemy tanks and ensure their ammunition is not wasted, refusing to risk homes in the process. The second story features Captain Hawk, who rescues a Filipino boat and its crew after they are spotted by Japanese forces; when one crew member goes missing, Hawk risks his own safety to help locate and rescue him, discovering the man survived and managed to warn the village of impending danger before being saved.
