“A Stillborn Genesis!”

This February 1975 issue of Adventure into Fear pits Morbius, the Living Vampire — fangs bared and claws raking — against a golden-costumed adversary in an intense mid-air clash, while eerie humanoid figures loom suspended in glowing cylindrical chambers behind them. The cover, penciled by Gil Kane and inked by Frank Giacoia, crackles with that distinctive blend of horror and science fiction that made this series a standout of its era, and the banner promises "Science vs. Sorcery in a Battle to the Death!" Story title "A Stillborn Genesis!" and the ominous caption declaring "The End of the Uncanny Caretakers!" suggest the stakes couldn't be higher for Morbius and everyone around him.
