“Return to Terror!”

From Gil Kane and John Romita's kinetic cover, Morbius the Living Vampire swoops down fangs bared toward Blade the Vampire Slayer, who stands ready with his wooden weapons while a fallen blonde woman lies in the foreground between them. Steve Gerber scripts this October 1974 street-level showdown, with interior art by Craig Russell and inks by Jack Abel bringing "Return to Terror!" to life. The cover's own teaser says it all — if a wooden knife pierces Morbius's heart, he won't be a living vampire any longer — making this a genuinely tense clash of two of Marvel's most compelling horror figures.
