Rob Guillory's unsettling agricultural horror series delivers a genuinely striking image in issue #8 — a mustachioed man stares out with sunflowers blooming where his eyes should be, their glowing green centers pulsing with an eerie, organic menace while green veins creep across his face. The title "A Time to Reap" paired with that cover makes clear that Guillory's boundary-blurring world of plant and human biology is pushing somewhere darker. Colorist Taylor Wells gives those sunflowers a vivid, almost beautiful warmth that makes the wrongness of the image all the more effective.
