Rob Guillory's unsettling rural sci-fi series reaches its fourth chapter with a cover that commands attention: a figure bearing the name "JENKINS" on their helmet is rendered in close profile, rain-speckled and tense against a smoldering, amber-hued sky with a bare, darkened tree looming behind them. The American flag patch on their shoulder and the vine-like tendrils creeping across the helmet hint at the series' eerie collision of the organic and the military. It's a quietly ominous image that makes "Between Worlds" feel like exactly the right title for whatever lies inside.
