In "Cleopatras slange," the 13th Fantomen is pressed into Napoleon’s army during the French invasion of Egypt, but he soon abandons his post to join his friend Achilles Tardieu on a perilous treasure hunt guided by a map to Queen Cleopatra’s lost tomb. With the ruthless translator Sekhmet and his hired mercenaries hot on their heels, the duo is trapped inside the tomb, where Tardieu perishes—but not before Fantomen escapes with a chilling relic: the serpent that once bit Cleopatra. In "Sumprottene," the Phantom teams up with the Jungle Patrol—Oberst Weeks, Jones, and Major Strong—to take down a ruthless band of raiders led by Otter, whose secret trails through the Great Swamp have made him nearly untouchable. With Ulv and Louie aiding the effort, the Phantom must navigate treacherous terrain and outwit the swamp rats before their next attack.
