The Thing is charged with the murder of Philip Rivers and taken to the Power House on Ryker's Island. A distraught Sue Storm takes on the Avengers and the battle is only halted when Jim Hammond intervenes. Temporarily penniless, homeless and childless, Sue and Reed go to work for John Eden. Johnny finds out that he is no longer 'hot' without his flames. Meanwhile, Jim Hammond and the Future Foundation resolve to rescue Dragon Man.
