About this Collection

This deluxe hardcover collects issues #11–18 of the acclaimed Vertigo series, continuing the saga of fairy tale refugees living in modern-day New York. The story follows the aftermath of the Adversary's attack on Fabletown, as Snow White and Bigby Wolf investigate a series of murders while Prince Charming schemes for political power. This volume also includes the standalone story 'The Last Castle' and features Bill Willingham's signature blend of dark fantasy and political intrigue.

In "Bag O' Bones," Bigby Wolf and Snow White wake in the woods with no memory of how they got there, piecing together their journey as tension mounts with every step back toward home. As strange forces stir in the shadows, Bigby’s control begins to fray—until the wolf within finally surfaces. Meanwhile, Prince Charming’s unexpected conversation with the mouse patrol adds a layer of mystery to the unfolding chaos. Written by Bill Willingham and illustrated by Mark Buckingham, with inks by Steve Leialoha, colors by Daniel Vozzo, and letters by Todd Klein, the issue’s haunting atmosphere is perfectly captured in James Jean’s striking cover.
