Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall #[nn]
In "A Most Troublesome Woman [Part 1]," Snow White, serving as an ambassador for the exiled Fables, finds herself imprisoned by a sultan who plans to marry her—then kill her. Using wit and storytelling, she begins a daring game of survival, spinning tales of wonder and danger to delay her fate, one night at a time. Written by Bill Willingham and brought to life with lush, dreamlike art by Michael Wm. Kaluta, inks by Charles Vess, and colors by Charles Vess, the issue’s cover by James Jean captures the tale’s haunting elegance.

Traveling in Arabia as an Ambassador from the exiled FABLES community, Snow White is captured by the local sultan who wants to marry her (and then kill her). But the clever Snow attempts to charm the sultan instead by playing Scheherazade, telling him fantastic stories for a total of 1,001 nights.
