Extraordinary X-Men #4

A massive, dark-clad figure dominates this cover by Humberto Ramos, its glowing red eyes burning out of the shadows while the entire X-Men roster — including Storm, Iceman, Colossus, Magik, and Old Man Logan among others — appears reflected in a glowing diamond-shaped portal at the center of the creature's chest. The composition is a clever visual puzzle: are the heroes trapped within that crimson window, or simply caught in the monster's gaze? Jeff Lemire's run on this 2016 series was already building real momentum, and this fourth issue promises the kind of high-stakes tension the cover so vividly suggests.
