Explorers of the Unknown #3

The whole Riverdale gang has been transported somewhere decidedly strange in Archie's Explorers of the Unknown #3 — and as Archie himself quips on the cover, "It sure isn't Kansas!" Rex Lindsey's cover shows the entire team — Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, and the rest — wide-eyed and stumbling onto a glowing platform surrounded by surreal, circuitry-like machinery, all rendered in the bold, energetic colors that defined 1990 Archie comics. The story promises to be a wild sci-fi ride with "Trapped in the Brain Box!" as its title, and this issue also salutes inker Mike Esposito as Archie's "Artist of the Month.
