Exilium #3

The third chapter of Glénat's Exilium arrives with a cover that's hard to shake — a bare-chested man cries out in anguish or desperate longing, surrounded and entangled by writhing, otherworldly tentacled vegetation that fills the frame with an unsettling, organic dread. Éric Stalner's linework, brought to vivid life by Florence Fantini's rich, murky palette of greens and purples, makes the alien flora feel genuinely threatening. "Sonntag" promises to push this series' survival-and-exile themes into increasingly dark territory.
