The second volume of Glénat's Exilium arrives with a striking cover that sets a deeply unsettling tone — a lone, dark-coated figure sits enthroned amid a tangle of massive, root-like tendrils that coil upward into a sickly yellow sky, flanked by two glowing red mechanical eyes emerging from the shadows. Éric Stalner's linework, brought to life by Florence Fantini's eerie, sulphurous palette, makes "Kayenn" feel like a descent into something ancient and threatening.
