The third volume of Exile arrives with a cover that pulls no punches — a bare-chested man strains upward in desperate anguish, his body ensnared by massive, writhing tentacles and grasping jungle tendrils that coil around him from every direction. Éric Stalner's linework gives the scene a raw, organic menace, with Florence Fantini's coloring deepening the dread through murky greens and shadowed earth tones. Subtitled "Sonntag," this 2019 Glénat release looks every bit as unsettling and visually gripping as the series' darkest promises.
