In "Drame à Venise," Gilda, raised by her aunt since childhood, learns from a visiting doctor that her mother, Sylviane, once loved a married count—whose grief over her death has driven him into a decades-long delusion that he still lives in the 15th century. The doctor believes Gilda’s return to Venice, where her mother’s story began, might finally break the count’s obsession.
