This hardcover collection kicks off DC’s archival reprinting of Wendy and Richard Pini’s classic fantasy series, gathering the earliest ElfQuest stories originally published in the late 1970s. Volume 1 presents the first half of the original quest, introducing the wolf-riding elves of the Wolfriders as they flee destruction and encounter new tribes, all presented in restored color from the original magazine-sized issues. It includes issues #1–5 of the original ElfQuest series, along with a foreword and background material that contextualize the series’ indie origins and enduring legacy.
