Elektra #2
Part two of "Bloodlines" arrives with a cover that makes an immediate impression — Mike Del Mundo renders Elektra as a swirling vortex of crimson, her masked face half-shrouded in darkness while a gleaming sai cuts diagonally across the composition. The brushwork feels almost painterly, red ribbons of motion bleeding into the black void around her in a way that blurs the line between action and abstraction. With W. Haden Blackman writing and Michael Del Mundo handling both art and color, this 2014 All-New Marvel NOW! series was already staking out a distinctive visual identity by its second issue.
