Elektra #11

Michael Del Mundo's minimalist cover for this 2015 Marvel issue is a striking study in red and black — a blood-spattered sai dominates the field while a tiny silhouette of Elektra herself perches at its hilt, arms raised as if mid-leap. The bold simplicity makes it one of the more visually arresting covers of the series, letting the weapon and the woman say everything without a single word. If you've been following Blackman and Del Mundo's run, issue #11 looks like a fittingly atmospheric chapter.
