Arleston and Barbucci's Ekhö — De Spiegelwereld whisks readers to a fantastical mirror-world version of Paris, and this 2014 Dutch-language volume makes an immediately striking impression. Barbucci's cover renders a towering, ornate Eiffel Tower wreathed in fire and smoke behind a wide-eyed adventurer clutching a weapon, a small companion creature at his side, while an enormous, luminous blonde figure in flowing robes dominates the foreground with a mischievous grin. It's a wonderfully energetic composition that captures the series' blend of adventure and whimsy perfectly.
