In the shadowed stillness of a cemetery, two desperate crooks flee after a violent robbery, only to awaken something far worse than the law—Mister Lucifer, summoned by their reckless deeds. As his dark minions rise from the earth, the fiendish parade of evil begins, but fate has a cruel twist: even the devil can be trapped, and the grave they thought would hide them becomes their prison.

In "The More-or-Less Living Corpse," a visiting writer interviews a patient at a mental hospital who claims to be a living corpse—transformed by the infamous Dr. Paul Barer. The patient recounts a twisted past in which he was used as a stage performer and forced to abduct celebrities, who were then trapped in a wax museum under a hypnotic spell. As the interview unfolds, the true identity of the visitor begins to unravel.
