This anthology issue contains multiple science fiction and fantasy stories. "The Man Who Owned the Earth" follows the megalomaniacal Talus the Great, who rises to power and conquers the world, inspiring fear and hatred among his subjects until his downfall. "The Maid of the Mist" tells of two lovers, Amala and Umpago, whose canoe is swept over Niagara Falls, where their spirits are said to remain eternally at the base of the falls. "Wrath of the Totem" depicts Big Tim Maddox, a con man who attempts to exploit a Native American girl and steal from her tribe, only to fall victim to supernatural retribution from a tribal totem he desecrates.
