In "In Djævelsk Udfordring!", Spider-Man races through New York’s underworld hunting the Hobgoblin, all while the black alien costume struggles to manipulate young Franklin Richards—without success. When the Hobgoblin targets Harry Osborn for his father’s hidden journals, Spidey steps in, leading to a chaotic battle that spills into a women’s bathroom, where a pumpkin bomb webbed to Hobgoblin’s hand forces a tense standoff. As the fight escalates, Liz and Mary Jane are taken by the Rose’s men, leaving Harry helpless—just as Spidey’s grip on the situation starts to slip. Written by Tom DeFalco and Morten Søndergård, with dynamic art by Ron Frenz and inks by Joe Rubinstein and Brett Breeding, and colored by Bob Sharen, the cover by Mike Zeck and John Beatty captures the chaos in sharp, striking detail.
