Eclipso #77
In "1ère partie La cité du bout du monde," Leiko Wu and Clive Reston venture into a hidden silo within Fu Manchu's fortress, uncovering what looks like a massive spacecraft. As Black Jack Tarr confronts Fu Manchu, the ancient villain secures the vessel just as Shang-Chi fights a brutal battle against his ancestor Shaka Kharn—escaping only to witness Fu Manchu and Shaka Kharn launch the craft moments before Larner collapses the mountain. Written by Doug Moench and illustrated with striking precision by Paul Gulacy, with inks by Pablo Marcos, this issue delivers a tense, atmospheric chapter in the series' escalating mystery. The cover, a dynamic double-draw by Paul Gulacy, captures the moment of revelation with haunting detail.
In "1ère partie La cité du bout du monde," Black Jack Tarr infiltrates Fu Manchu's fortress, where he discovers Larner and Fah Lo Suee united in opposition to the mastermind's apocalyptic scheme. As Tarr moves deeper into the stronghold, he allies with Chi, Leiko, and Reston, while Larner pursues his own secret objective—just as Shang-Chi fights through a horde of 400 minions to face the newly resurrected Shaka Kharn.
In "2e partie" from Eclipso #77, Leiko Wu and Clive Reston venture into a hidden silo within Fu Manchu's fortress, uncovering a mysterious spacecraft that sets off a chain of confrontations. As Black Jack Tarr steps in to stop Fu Manchu, the mastermind secures the craft just as Shang-Chi faces his formidable ancestor, Shaka Kharn, in a brutal clash that ends in retreat. With the mountain collapsing and the spacecraft lifting off, the fate of those left behind hangs in the balance—no resolution, only the aftermath of a desperate stand.
In "3e partie," Shang-Chi and Clive Reston evade death by slipping aboard Fu Manchu's rocketship, where Shang-Chi faces his father in a tense confrontation. As Shaka Kharn chooses to abandon his rejuvenation to fight, his vulnerability leads to his defeat, and with the ship's controls sabotaged, Fu Manchu’s plan collapses—leaving him to flee in a shuttle pod, adrift in the void.
In "4e partie," Shang-Chi returns to a quiet moment with his cat after a harrowing escape from Fu Manchu’s rocket ship, only to be drawn back into the fray when Sir Denis Nayland Smith gathers his remaining agents for a tense meeting. The gathering is shattered by an attack, leaving Ms. Greville wounded and forcing Shang-Chi and Leiko Wu to walk away from the fight—while Reston and Tarr step back, too.
