E-Man #5
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeCharlton's E-Man #5 (November 1974) brings "The City Swallower" to life on a cover by Joe Staton that crackles with energy — E-Man in his red-and-yellow costume dives headlong into a swirling, toothy black void, while a pink-clad blonde companion streaks alongside him and a second costumed figure watches from the background. The monstrous, gaping maw at the center of that luminous burst makes it easy to see why the threat earned such a vivid name. Nicola Cuti and Staton were turning out some of the most inventive superhero work of the mid-seventies here, and this issue is a fine example of their energetic partnership.
