Durango Kid #20
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe lead story "Dan Brand and Tipi" follows Dan Brand and his Native American ally Tipi as they assist a revolutionary lutionary army against British soldiers, using a Trojan Horse–style tactic to breach fortress walls. In "The Durango Kid: Muley Pike's Big Gold Rush," the Durango Kid contends with a prospector named Muley Pike who is pursuing gold in challenging terrain, with Muley discovering what appears to be an abandoned mine while chasing a maverick calf. The issue also includes a "Wrestling Encyclopedia" section promoting a 1952 wrestling fan's book with photographs and information about wrestlers and wrestling personalities.
When Dan Brand is captured by the Onandagas and British forces during a covert mission to rally Revolutionary allies, his friend Tipi races to the Catawba tribe for help—only to find their direct assault on the heavily fortified village doomed to fail. Tipi then recalls an ancient legend Dan once told him about and devises a daring plan: a massive wooden horse that will slip the Catawba warriors past the enemy's gates. It's a high-stakes gamble that hinges on perfect timing, split-second coordination, and whether the enemy will fall for a trick born from stories of the distant past.
