When Dan Brand is captured by the Onandagas and British forces during a covert mission to rally Revolutionary allies, his friend Tipi races to the Catawba tribe for help—only to find their direct assault on the heavily fortified village doomed to fail. Tipi then recalls an ancient legend Dan once told him about and devises a daring plan: a massive wooden horse that will slip the Catawba warriors past the enemy's gates. It's a high-stakes gamble that hinges on perfect timing, split-second coordination, and whether the enemy will fall for a trick born from stories of the distant past.
