The Dynamite Entertainment DuckTales series was announced on July 23, 2024, and launched on November 6, 2024, with writer Brandon Montclare (Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Rocket Girl) and Italian artist Tommaso Ronda as the core creative team, edited by Nate Cosby. Montclare, a childhood fan of the original animated series, shaped the early arc — titled 'Four Corners of Your World' — as a Duckburg-grounded story that used Scrooge's flashback vignettes to pay homage to the classic Carl Barks and Don Rosa Disney Duck comics tradition. Issue #6 represents the editorial decision to graduate beyond that introductory framework, shifting the series into the globe-trotting adventure mode that defines the show's identity, with colorist Agnese Eterno and letterer Fabio Amelia rounding out the production team throughout the run.
