“Siege”

Epic Comics' Dreadstar #6 from September 1983 sets the stage with a striking cover — massive stone letters spelling out "PLAN M" dominate the scene as several blue-suited figures scramble across the rubble-strewn landscape, joined by a woman in a yellow-and-purple costume and another figure in red on the far left. The cover is a remarkable collaboration between Jim Starlin and Bernie Wrightson, whose combined pencils and inks give the composition real weight and energy. As a bonus, the issue also features "The Interstellar Toybox" with Aldo Gorney, written and drawn by Wrightson — making this a notably packed installment of Starlin's space-faring saga.
