DragonLance Comic Book #2

Ron Randall's cover art for this 1988 DC series says it all with a single, intense image: a menacing Draconian fills the frame, its yellow-scaled face meeting a crossed pair of blades — one sparking on impact, the other drawing blood — while the bold tagline "Beware the Draconian!" leaves little doubt about the threat at hand. The creature's cold, reptilian stare and armored form make for a striking centerpiece that captures the darker edge of the beloved Dragonlance world. With Dan Mishkin scripting and Randall handling both pencils and inks, "Rites of Passage" looks to be a solid entry in this fantasy adaptation.
