Buford Tune's cover for this December 1949 Harvey issue says it all: Dotty, wearing an apron and holding scissors, places a paper crown on a bewildered Horace's head while cheerfully asking, "There, Horace — does that make you feel more important?" A giggling Li'l Taffy and the family dog look on, perfectly capturing the warm domestic comedy that made this "America's Laugh-a-Second Family" such a delight.
