“Doomwar Part 4”

Doctor Doom dominates this fourth chapter of the six-issue Doomwar limited series, and the cover by John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson makes his presence feel genuinely imposing — iron mask filling nearly the entire frame, red-gauntleted fists raised in quiet menace against a smoky backdrop. It's a portrait of cold, calculating power, and Jonathan Maberry's script paired with Scot Eaton's interior art promises the story lives up to that threat. With two issues still to go, the tension of 2010's biggest Doom-centered epic is clearly far from resolved.

The FF join Shuri and the Dora Milaje as they travel the globe to hit Doom's caches of new vibranium Doombots and mechanical panthers. The battle is hard and many fall, even though Shuri has armed her troops with new vibranium armor. In order to even the playing field a little, T'Challa hires Deadpool to invade Latveria.
