The cover of this 2002 DC series entry says a great deal with striking economy: a damaged, battered robot head — likely Robotman's — lies crushed in the dirt beneath a pair of red sandal-clad feet, the subtitle "Memento." hanging beneath it with quiet menace. Tan Eng Huat's cover art is deliberately unsettling, reducing what should be an imposing figure to something fragile and discarded. Written by John Arcudi, this seventh issue of the relaunched Doom Patrol promises the kind of moody, character-driven storytelling that made this run a compelling chapter in the team's history.
