Doom Patrol #5 delivers a visceral cover from Tan Eng Huat, depicting a black-and-gold armored figure delivering a powerful strike against a monstrous, heavily tattooed opponent with a grotesque snarling face. Below them, several Doom Patrol members look on, caught in the tension of whatever conflict is unfolding above. Writer John Arcudi and artist Tan Eng Huat were clearly hitting their stride with this 2002 run, and "Fade" promises the kind of bruising, offbeat superhero action the Doom Patrol does best.
