Simon Bisley's cover for this May 1990 installment of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol is a visceral, kinetic image: a massive, shark-toothed cannon labeled "Nukenstein" blazes away while a hulking armored figure braces against the percussive chaos, surrounded by scattered debris and the giant letters "BOOM!" shattering the background. It's a wonderfully unhinged piece of cover art that captures the wild, unpredictable energy Morrison, Case, and Nyberg brought to this run. "Decreator" promises the kind of story where the title alone tells you things are about to get cosmically strange.
