Doom 2099 #13

Pat Broderick and John Nyberg's cover for this January 1994 issue sets a vivid and unsettling scene: the armored Doom 2099, cloaked and masked in his distinctive blue-and-white suit, stands enveloped by writhing skeletal-mechanical tendrils as an enormous, snarling green demon face looms behind him. The tagline "Necrotek Rising!" makes clear that whatever Doom is facing here is something ancient, monstrous, and deeply dangerous. It's a striking piece of 2099-era Marvel design that captures the series' blend of futuristic technology and outright horror.
