Donald Duck album #[4]
In "Den gylne byen," Donald Duck takes on the role of a cargo boat captain alongside his nephews, only to find their voyage disrupted by a mysterious stowaway who triggers the world’s largest whirlpool. Trapped in the depths, they discover a hidden society of people who’ve also been swept into the vortex, while Donald unwittingly entertains a dancing whale with his accordion. Written by Evert Geradts and Mai Piene and illustrated by Ben Verhagen—both inks and pencils—this 1989 Egmont album features a whimsical, underwater adventure with a touch of surreal charm, all rendered in Verhagen’s distinctive style.
