Don Winslow is tasked with protecting a secret naval formula that could end the war—or ignite global destruction. When the notorious Singapore Sal escapes prison, she assumes the identity of a visiting princess to infiltrate a high-stakes naval dinner and steal the formula, using her charm and deception to draw Don into a dangerous game.

Benny Beaver tries to sell fresh fish using a sign full of what he thinks are necessary details, but his friend Fuzzy Bear insists on trimming it down to the bare essentials. As Benny debates each word, Fuzzy keeps simplifying the sign, turning it into a minimalist declaration that challenges the need for any words at all.

Captain Sayles is flustered when all the ship's radio operators fall ill, but Fuzzy, a young woman, confidently volunteers to take over—claiming she’s a crack operator and even able to send an SOS backwards.

Don Winslow is drugged and manipulated by a mysterious figure posing as the Princess of Sylvania, who uses the hypnotic drug to force him to lead her to a secret formula. As he regains consciousness, he realizes he’s been tricked and must race against time to stop the villains from selling the formula to a Nazi agent, all while unraveling the truth behind the disappearances.

Tick Tack, overwhelmed by his landlord’s sudden appearances when he skips rent, declares himself shell-shocked and insists on going to a hospital—only to reveal he’s been traumatized by eating peanuts in bed. His friend Tow mocks him, leading to a silly back-and-forth about head injuries and floating, all wrapped in the absurd humor typical of the era.

Pete wonders what he’ll do after leaving the Navy, considering opening a gas station, but Bell Bottom Bill dismisses the idea as unprofitable—only to reveal his own plan to start on his second million, claiming the second is easier than the first.

Don Winslow races against time to stop Singapore Sal and a Nazi agent from smuggling the U-435 formula, following a trail from a navy dance to the Westport Airport. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, he commandeers a helicopter to intercept a private plane mid-flight, where he must outwit the traitors before the formula falls into enemy hands.
