In "Verrat," Gail Sanders is abducted and subjected to a sinister mind control scheme—drugged and fitted with a hidden radio receiver. Under its influence, she turns against Doktor Solar in a violent assault, only to break free from the programming, survive the attack, and fight to remove the device before it's too late.

In "Der Vulkan bricht aus," an underwater atomic test triggers seismic upheaval, awakening a long-dormant volcano on the brink of eruption. As the threat looms over a nearby town, Solar pushes himself to the edge of death to contain the disaster, only to be pulled back from the brink by Clarkson.
