Doc Savage #11

Part of DC's 2011 First Wave imprint, this issue pairs writers Iván Brandon and Brian Azzarello for "One by One," with Nic Klein handling the complete art duties inside. The cover by J. G. Jones puts Doc Savage front and center in a scene of raw intensity — the Man of Bronze strains against a backdrop of roaring flames, twisted industrial wreckage, and a shadowy figure looming on the burning debris behind him, the whole composition radiating a gritty, pulp-tinged urgency. It's a compelling snapshot of a hero pushed to his limits in a world that's clearly gone very wrong.
