District X #2
In "Mr. M 2 of 6," Izzy and his new partner Bishop navigate a District X teeming with danger, from a mutant whose rage spawns vermin to a growing web of power struggles among two rival mob bosses. As internal affairs scrutinizes a recent shooting, Izzy uncovers that Bishop is a mutant—and that one of the bosses is exploiting another mutant for a potent drug derived from their secretions. Mr. M, meanwhile, quietly fixes a toaster. Written by David Hine and illustrated by David Yardin, with colors by Andy Troy and Avalon, and letters by Richard Starkings, Rob Steen, and Comicraft, the issue’s cover by Steve McNiven and Mark Morales captures the tension beneath the surface.
