District X #1
In "Mr. M 1 of 6," a routine call in District X spirals into chaos when cops Izzy Ortega and Gus Kucharsky uncover a mutant woman whose powers trigger violent, uncontrollable impulses in men. As tragedy unfolds, Izzy must shield his partner from the fallout while facing an internal affairs investigation, only to be assigned to work with the enigmatic detective Bishop on a rising tide of crime in the neighborhood. Written by David Hine and illustrated by David Yardin, with vibrant colors by Andy Troy and sharp lettering by Richard Starkings and Rob Steen, the issue's cover by Steve McNiven captures the tension of a world where power and peril walk hand in hand.
