Disney Masters #10
"Scandal on the Epoch Express" delivers a delightfully chaotic slice of Duckburg life in this 2020 Disney Masters entry, written by Remco Polman and Jonathan Gray and illustrated by Bas Heymans, whose expressive art captures every exaggerated twitch of frustration. When Donald asks Daisy to house-sit while he and the boys fish, she’s quickly tested by the arrival of Josie Jones—cousin to the already notorious Neighbor Jones—and the resulting clash of personalities turns quiet neighborly duties into a full-blown comedic war of wits. The cover by Michel Nadorp perfectly captures the story’s high-stakes silliness, making this a must-read for fans of classic Disney humor.

Donald asks Daisy to housesit while he and the boys go on a fishing vacation, warning her against the unneighborly actions of Neighbor Jones. At the same time, Neighbor Jones also goes on a fishing vacation, leaving his cousin Josie Jones to housesit. The crude, uncouth Josie Jones proves to be a worse neighbor than Mr. Jones, driving Daisy to distraction. While Daisy tries valiantly to maintain her composure in the face of such destructive obnoxiousness, she ultimately succumbs with gusto making the Daisy/Josie feud more intense than the Donald/Jones affair.
