Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency #5

Douglas Adams' beloved holistic detective crashes a very unusual cocktail party in this fifth installment of IDW's 2015 adaptation. The cover by Ilias Kyriazis captures Dirk Gently in a tuxedo navigating a crowded soirée with a tray of hors d'oeuvres, while a scowling Egyptian pharaoh in full headdress holds a martini glass — and a rotting, pearl-wearing zombie mingles ominously among the elegant guests in the background. It's the kind of wonderfully absurd gathering only Douglas Adams' universe could produce, and Ryall and Kyriazis clearly have a firm, affectionate grip on that delightfully strange spirit.
